Acer, Microsoft promote Windows 7 OS PCs

Acer, India's third largest PC brand, along with Microsoft, has announced aggressive marketing plans to provide impetus to the sales of Windows 7 OS loaded PCs. As part of this latest programme from Acer, titled Acer Windows Advantage the company has tied up with 66 of its retail partners, including Acer Malls & Acer Points, to increase the attach ratio with Windows 7 OS. "We are excited & confident about the combined value Acer & Microsoft canprovide to our customers. We have been working closely with Microsoft tohelp ensure product efficiency and maximum utility to the end consumer",said Mr. S. Rajendran, Chief Marketing Officer, Acer India. Commenting on the launch Mr. Rishi Srivastava, Group Director, OEM,Microsoft India said, "We are happy to extend our long term partnership withAcer to provide our customers a computing experience that will not onlysimplify their tasks but also enhance productivity. Windows 7 is designed to make the PC faster, more secure and more reliable. With the Acer WindowsAdvantage consumers across the country will have easy access to a host of form factors from Acer on Windows 7, the fastest selling operating system in history. Further, this initiative will also open up a host of business opportunities for our channel partners who are our interface with the consumer." Acer as a brand, has always been channel friendly, and constantly churns out innovative reward schemes for its channel partners. In the month of May, Acer aims to infuse its retail channel business with high levels of energy and motivation, critical for driving sales and powering the success of the brand, through various schemes. These schemes will incentivise high performing partners with an array of rewards.
