Acerís Stand by your Nation campaign receives Grand success

Olympic 2012, was all about wishes, anticipation, excitement, hope and more. Today the citizens of the country stand united and show immense pride and fulfillment in receiving the achievers of the Olympic 2012. Acer celebrates this moment with all its supporters who registered at the Stand by your Nation campaign launched two weeks ago. The company received tremendous support from more than thousands of Indians who passed on their best wishes and boosted the morale of the Indian Olympic contingent through recordings and video uploads of the national anthem on YouTube.

Acer’s nationwide campaign, Stand up for the Olympics by standing up for the National Anthem urged consumers to encourage athletes by creating a simple video where they are standing up for the national anthem. For every registration, Acer will make a significant contribution towards the welfare of Indian Olympic contingent.

Acer maintained the momentum of its campaign through multiple initiative roll-outs in 90 cities across the country. From engaging with college students through road shows in the West to engagement program with school children in the North, the company reached out to a multitude of audiences. In the South, the company also initiated activities to engage with residents of townships that instilled a sense of excitement amongst the audiences.

During this season the company has also introduced limited edition merchandise especially for the Olympics. On the purchase of every desktop, consumers can take home mouse pads with regal Olympic ring design engraved on it.

While more than 1000 young students of Nasr Girls School in Hyderabad sang the national anthem and waved the National flag to applaud and cheer the Olympic team, enthusiastic children of the Lawn Tennis Association in Chandigarh also passed on their best wishes to the Indian athletes participating at this Olympics. Like them, there were many more schools and colleges across the nation who came forward to show their support by singing the national anthem.
