Alcatel-Lucent appoints Vivek Mohan as President of its Services business

Alcatel-Lucent has announced the appointment of Vivek Mohan as President of its Services business, effective April 2, 2010. He will be a member of the company’s management committee and replaces Andy Williams who has left the company for another opportunity. Vivek will be based in India. 

Vivek is currently Head of Alcatel-Lucent’s business in India. Vivek brings over 25 years of experience in managing businesses across a wide range of sectors and markets.

Prior to his current role as Head of Alcatel-Lucent’s business in India, Vivek headed the Services organization for Alcatel-Lucent’s South Asia region. Before India, Vivek worked in a variety of roles and locations in Alcatel-Lucent. He led the Asia Pacific Supply Chain operations for Lucent Technologies from Shanghai and supported global business restructuring for Lucent’s Optical Networks Group (ONG) from Murray Hill, USA. 

Before Alcatel-Lucent, Vivek founded and managed 2 start ups located in the US and India. Vivek received a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from California State University and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
