ATEN International, a leading designer and manufacturer of advanced connectivity solutions, today introduced its latest 2 and 4-port PS/2-USB KVM switches. The CS82U and CS84U allow users to manage two or four multiplatform computers from a single keyboard, monitor, and mouse console. These new KVM solutions provide dual interface functionality for both PS/2 and USB environments; and support gaming keyboards.
The CS82U and CS84U are part of ATEN’s CubiQ series of advanced desktop KVM switches. Thanks to their dual interface, the CS82U and CS84U support computers with PS/2 or USB keyboards and mice. Both models offer the latest console mouse port emulation/bypass technology to ensure compatibility with all multi-function mouse drivers. Complete keyboard emulation means error-free booting and support for most gaming keyboards.
These new PS/2-USB KVM switches are designed with ATEN’s exclusive Video DynaSync™ technology, which eliminates problems that can occur during computer boot-up. Video DynaSync™ also helps maintain monitor settings to optimize resolution and ensure the best image quality when switching between ports. The CS82U and CS84U support DDC2B and superior video resolutions of up to 2048x1536. Users can easily switch computers via hotkeys, pushbuttons as well as with the mouse.
Another user-friendly feature supported by the CS82U/CS84U is power on detection, which allows them to automatically switch to another powered-on computer when the computer it is focused on shuts down. Both models are compatible with all major operating systems, including Windows, Mac, Linux, as well as Windows 7. Since there is no software to configure, the installation is hassle-free. Setting them up is as easy as plugging cables into their appropriate ports. |
