EMC Corporation has further extended its product portfolio in storage for the India market by introducing a record-breaking number of new systems and capabilities designed to make it simpler than ever for businesses and organizations of all sizes to harness and exploit the massive amounts of information they generate each day.
EMC announced multiple new storage systems and software features – more than 40 new technologies and products in all – including a new family of unified storage systems – EMC VNX – for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), new unified systems for the midrange, new software for its high-end systems and new disk-based backup and recovery and archiving systems. The technologies are part of a multi-billion-dollar investment in storage that positions EMC at the intersection of all the major trends that are driving massive information growth, including cloud computing and Big Data applications.
Commenting on this, Manoj Chugh, President, EMC India and SAARC, said, “The digital information explosion is not relevant to large enterprises alone. Information technologies are becoming more inclusive in an SMB organisation’s core strategy for delivering value, and SMB users are faced with tremendous digital data creation and consumption. IT teams in an SMB environment will derive greater benefits of a shared storage product that is designed expressly for them – simple, efficient and affordable.”
The VNXe (for entry) series, is designed specifically for SMBs, department level storage solutions for enterprise, and remote or branch offices, combining breakthrough simplicity with advanced performance, availability, and efficiency benefits. |
