GIGABYTE Motherboards Win Accolades

GIGABYTE Technology is excited to announce that its motherboards and their innovative technologies, have been honored with multiple awards from prominent global as well as Indian technology experts, media and fora, during H1 2012.

The top awards won by GIGABYTE motherboards include those received from Digit and Chip, both Indian PC technology media leaders; Tom’s Hardware, a globally popular technology news and review site; Legit Review, a world's leading computer industry review site; and, one of the world’s topmost online resources for tech news, reviews and insights.

A majority of these awards were bagged by the GIGABYTE 7 series motherboards (launched in April 2012) that feature the world’s first Dual UEFI BIOS, and the unique GIGABYTE All Digital power design. GIGABYTE’s 3D BIOS is based on the company’s exclusive UEFI DualBIOS technology. The new 3D BIOS offers two distinct modes of interaction in a BIOS environment, 3D Mode and Advanced Mode, that re-draw the traditional BIOS user experience with a far more intuitive and graphical interface. Whereas the All Digital power design allows users to have greater control over the power delivered to their 3rd generation Intel Core processors on the LGA 1155 socket. The design ensures more precise power delivery to the PC’s energy sensitive components than previously possible, thanks to its entirely digital controllers for the CPU, processor graphics, VTT and system memory

Tom’s Hardware bestowed on the GIGABYTE Ultra Durable 5 technology the Best of Computex 2012. The technology includes high current capable components for the CPU power zone including the awarded IR3550 PowIRstage ICs from International Rectifier, 2X Copper PCB and high current Ferrite Core Chokes rated up to 60A, which together are able to deliver up to 60°C cooler temperatures than traditional motherboards.
