HCL Infosystems launches BFR-free HCL ME Series 40

HCL Infosystems has unveiled ME Series 40 Notebook with BFR-free feature on the occasion of Earth Hour 2010. The eco-friendly ME notebook has been designed and manufactured with BFR components used in concentrations of less than 0.1%, thus making the product 100% recycable  and  environment friendly.

BFR-free HCL ME Series 40 meets the RoHS 2.0 standards, laid down by the European environmental-safety standards, and is future-ready for the environmentally-conscious global consumer. The notebook is also compliant to Energy Star 5.0 rating and blessed with the unique HCL Balanced Power Theme which enables auto shutdown during idle period. The notebook becomes greener with Advanced Thermal Engineering which minimizes the heat-generation capacity. These features almost double the battery back-up of the notebook, thus making a step towards conserving energy. 

HCL ME Series 40 is ISO 14001 certified and also included in the HCL GREEN BAG CAMPAIGN which caters to the e-waste collection for corporate as well as individual customers. The new notebook is based on the Intel Core 2 Duo processor and apart from being eco friendly is also loaded with host of innovative features. HCL ME Series 40 notebook is available for Rs.41, 500/- + applicable taxes.
