Intex has announced 5%-8% increase in the prices of its IT Hardware Peripherals, TFT LCD Monitors and Computers. The prices for some of the products have already been increased and for the rest, it will become effective from September 1, 2010.
Vikram Kalia, General Manager- Products (Peripherals & PC), Intex Technologies, commented, “The price rise became inevitable due to the consistent rise in these important cost factors over past few months. In spite of these cost deterrents, we will continue to strive to live up to the expectations of our channel partners and consumers by offering them our ever expanding range of value for money products, supported by attractive deals and reliable after sales service.”
Intex has been increasing its reach in B & C class cities. New product launches in consumer electronics has also been planned. This has been accompanied with an aggressive marketing plan.
The company has recently begun revamping of its after sales service infrastructure. Wide roll out of Intex Care Partners, implementation of e-service and setting up of dedicated call centres are some of the new initiatives in this area.
As on date, Intex has 500+ service touch points, 29 branches, 3000+ distributors and 12,000+ resellers across India.
