Intex Technologies has nationally launched its new tablet- i-Tab, at Rs 8900.

The company has strategically planned a phased out product launch for this item. Earlier this month, the company in alliance with the dynamic Rajasthan Royals team unveiled the new tablet in Jaipur.

The new 8 inches android tablet comes with enhanced features and caters to the gadget savvy consumers who like to experiment with newer gadgets and yet are price-conscious. Functioning on the 2.3 version of the Android operating system with Adobe Flash Player 11, the new i-Tab is powered by a 1 GHz cortex A8 core processor which is supported by a 1GB DDR3 RAM. It has an 8” capacitive five point touch screen display that allows the user to comfortably zoom in and out with all the fingers. The 360 degree G-Sensor feature makes it a complete entertainment and leisure device.

It also has a memory capacity of 8GB which is expandable upto 32GB. It (also) supports external hard drive of 100GB.  The tablet is powered by a 5000 mAh battery giving it a back up of 5-6 hours (with Wi-Fi), one of the highly desirable features sought by customers.  Connectivity options include in-built Wi-Fi support. One can also choose to stay connected through 3G network by using the Intex dongle.  One USB port gives this tablet the versatility of a notebook. It has a front camera and a 3.5mm audio jack out with built-in mike for video calls. To facilitate office work it comes with Word, Excel and Power Point viewer. Pre-loaded applications such as the Adobe Reader V9 office, easy battery saver and popular games like Angry Birds, Solitaire, Paper Toss, Talking Tom, etc. are among many others that are available in the tablet.

The new i-Tab is available at both our IT and Telecom Channel Partners and at 70 INTEX SQUARES (exclusive retail stores) and several hypermarkets across the country. To continue offering newer products, Intex is looking at expanding its tablet portfolio by launching 7” and 10” models in the coming months.
