K7 Names Shekar Nair as new Executive VP for Enterprise vertical

K7 Computing has announced Shekar Nair as the new Executive Vice-President for their Enterprise vertical. Shekar brings a wealth of knowledge with an extensive 23+ years of experience in the IT industry. Most recently, Shekar was CEO of Elina Networks, a company focused on developing and marketing network security solutions. Previously, Shekar was responsible for the Asia Pacific OEM business of NetApp which he grew to $30M. As President  & GM of NetApp India, he grew the team in India to 300+ people and successfully executed business critical projects for NetApp.

Shekar holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from NIT Trichy, India. He also holds Masters in Computer Science from California State University Northridge, USA and an Executive Management from IIM Bangalore. Shekar has worked in small and large companies in the USA and India. He was part of the inception team of XYLAN in California USA, and was instrumental in its IPO in 1996 and its acquisition by Alcatel.

Shekar was a co-founder of a startup Allegro Networks in California whose India operations was bought by Juniper Networks. Shekar was with NetApp in India as President & GM and was responsible for the OEM business in Asia Pacific. Shekar was also CEO and board member of Elina Networks a security solution startup in Bangalore.
