At the annual Microsoft Partner Summit (MPS) in Mumbai recently Microsoft honoured its best performing partners for demonstrating significant customer impact by developing and delivering innovative solutions that help customers drive their businesses forward over the last year.

Mr. Jon Roskill, Corporate Vice President, Worldwide Partner Group, Microsoft was present at the occasion to give away the awards. The theme this year was ‘Leading with the Future’ with the focus clearly on the cloud and the exciting next level of business growth it represents for the Microsoft partners.

The Microsoft Partner Summit (MPS) offers a platform to the Microsoft partner community to meet and network with industry peers and Microsoft business leaders representing SMS&P, EPG, PS and OEM business groups.

Expressing his enthusiasm at being with the vibrant partner community to celebrate their success Rajeev Mittal, Group Director, Small and Medium Enterprises, Microsoft India stated, “The Partner Summit, is the time for us to get together with our partner community to celebrate their achievements. Our success is dependent upon the commitment of our partners, our winners demonstrate this commitment by delivering innovative and impactful solutions that provide value to customers in India across all industries, from manufacturing to retail. The awards are our effort to thank our partners for their dedication to Microsoft.”

At MPS this year 15 partners were honoured with the Microsoft Partners 2010 Awards. The winners clearly demonstrated innovative use of Microsoft offerings to deliver strategic and valuable solutions that meet diverse customer needs. The MPS 2010 award recipients were as follows:

7. Communication Sector Partner of the Year: Wipro

8. EPG Solution Partner of the Year: Infosys Technologies Ltd.
