MSI Unfurls its latest product offerings in the TAITRA event

MSI has unveiled its latest products in India during the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) event as a part of their ‘Taiwan Excellence Campaign’ in India. Kuo unveiled the latest MSI WindPad 110W 10 inch tablet, which was launched in Taiwan during the Computex Expo 2011. MSI also displayed their various innovative new products like GX780 (part of its latest gaming series) & MSI’s N580GTX Lightning Xtreme (the world’s most powerful graphics card).

Launching the campaign at a Press Conference in New Delhi, Malaika Arora Khan, famous Bollywood Actress, displayed her Taiwan Excellence ICT kit for 'a perfect day' comprising an MSI laptop.The company, which also manufactures motherboards and graphics cards, will spend about USD one million on marketing and advertising this year. Kuo said that MSI will be soon introducing two new series of tablets in India by early July. "We are fairly new in the notebook category and we are working on increasing our brand recall in that segment. We don't want to compete only on the basis of price, but we also want to be known for quality and technology (of product). We are also aggressively looking to expand our operations in India. By year-end, we are looking at doubling our headcount and setting up more offices. We will also strengthen our distribution channels for all products," Kuo added.

Taiwan has a total of 758 electronic companies listed on its stock exchange and remains No. 1 in the world in eleven ICT categories as of 2010. The total combined revenue of these companies at the end of 2010 was a whooping US$ 411 billion while the industry grew at a rate of 31.6%. Out of which the lion's share is the ICT manufacturing industry contributing US$ 220 billion. Currently the largest purchasers of Taiwan ICT products are institutional buyers like Apple, Dell, HP, Sony and the more recent one is Verizon.
