Samsung Electronics today inaugurated its first dedicated IT Brand Shop in Delhi. Located in the heart of Delhi’s Nehru Place, this brand shop will be displaying and retailing a whole range of Samsung IT products including its sleek and stylish Netbooks and Notebooks, its just launched 2010 range of Printers, high-end Monitors, Mobile Phones and Digital Still Cameras. The Samsung IT Brand Shop also has an “Experience Zone” where consumers can experience digital convergence at its best with Samsung IT products .
The IT Brand shop was inaugurated on site by Mr. Jung Shoo Shin, President and CEO, Samsung South West Asia. At the launch, Mr. Ranjit Yadav, Director- IT and Mobility, Samsung India said, “The new Brand Shop is the first outlet dedicated to our IT products in Delhi. We plan to expand our footprint to 5 more cities this year. We are looking at our Brand Shops and our engagement with Large Format Retail contributing around 5% of our IT sales this year.”
The company plans to use the IT Brand Shop to showcase and retail its latest breakthrough technology products like the “World’s Smallest Printer”, its MFM monitor and its advanced touch screen phones amongst others.
The new brand outlet displays products like the N series and R series of Samsung Netbooks and Notebooks. Samsung is a full-range player in the Indian market with a comprehensive line-up of 13 Netbooks priced in the range of Rs 17,200/- to Rs 49,000/. Designed for optimum mobility, Samsung Netbooks are lightweight and support Windows 7 platform. The Netbooks are designed aesthetically and boast of superior performance and longer battery life that helps users to carry on working even while being on the move. The company is looking at notching up a 7-8% marketshare in the Netbook/Notebook segment by the end of the year.
The range of printer products on display includes the just launched Samsung ML-1666, the world’s smallest printer. Samsung is targeting a 30% market share and a 58% jump in volumes for its printers in 2010 based on its considerably enhanced product offering, strengthened distribution channel and a sharper focus on B2B business. All Samsung Laser Printers provide a simplified and highly affordable printing experience with ‘Printelligence’ features such as Toner Save, Smart Panel (enables easy trouble shooting), One Touch print screen and AnyWEb Printing. The Samsung printers come with a one year, on-site warranty.
Samsung has also recently strengthened its Monitor portfolio in India with the launch of models like Lavendar, MystEco and Konnect Plus series. Samsung’s LCD monitor range comprises of seven models across its Myst eco, Lavendar and Konect Plus series in the screen sizes between 15.6” to 23”, priced between Rs. 5,600/- to Rs. 16,000/-. |
