SAP India has launched a new Sustainability Executive Advisory Council (SEAC). Bringing together a select community of top executives, IT leaders and sustainability champions in India, the aim of SEAC is to provide SAP customers, peers, policy-makers, thought leaders and experts with a framework to keep abreast with business strategies and the latest sustainability technology developments. Peter Graf, SAP Chief Sustainability Officer & Executive VP of Sustainability Solutions. was in New Delhi to co-host the inaugural SEAC event with Peter Gartenberg, Managing Director, SAP Indian Subcontinent. “Sustainability has an essential business imperative as it helps companies drive profitability. However, it requires a collaborative corporate effort,” said Peter Graf. “SAP views sustainability holistically, encompassing economic, social and environmental dimensions. India is the first country in the South-Asian region to launch SEAC. The Council is designed to provide a mutual learning experience between sustainability leaders,” he said. SEAC will provide C-level executives and cross-industry participants with the opportunity to network and collaborate, gain insight into new technologies and SAP strategic initiatives and learn through leading member company best practices. “In India, SEAC will provide an excellent vehicle to drive the sustainability agenda for businesses. SAP is honoured to take a leadership position around the critical objective of sustainability both in India and globally,” said Peter Gartenberg.
