Sony has introduced its first ever slimmest DVD writer  - The DRX-S77U drive which boasts a sleek, lightweight design and continues to support up to 8X DVDR recording speeds, delivering a full 4.7 GB disc of video, data, music or images on standard 8X DVD+R media. 

The External DVD Writer measures just 19mm thick which makes it really slim, it features a USB 2.0 connection interface, a 2MB of buffer memory and provides maximum write speeds of 8x for DVD±R, 8x for DVD+RW, 6x for DVD-RW, 6x for DVD±R DL, 5x for DVD-RAM, 24x for CD-R and 24x for CD-RW. 

The Sony DRX-S77U comes bundled with Nero 9 software for all your burning needs. The drive comes in a retail package bundled with the Nero 9 DVD/CD mastering software suite and is available to match your Netbook in black, white, pink and gold color choices.
