Symantec has revealed its channel strategy and vision at the inaugural Asia Pacific and Japan Symantec Partner Engage 2010 Conference in Sanya, China. The announcement includes planned enhancements to the Symantec Partner Program focused on helping partners differentiate their business, maximise sales opportunities and accelerate profitability. These partner program enhancements will come into effect in late 2010.
The company will be enhancing its Symantec Partner Program to put a greater emphasis on rewarding partner capabilities and competence. Specialisations, which recognize partners with a proven expertise in a particular area of business, will become the cornerstone of this partner program. In Asia Pacific and Japan, Symantec currently offers the following specialisations Endpoint Management, SMB, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP), with more to come in the near future.
"Asia Pacific and Japan is a growing and diverse market. We are committed to working with our partners to help them build strong businesses selling our solutions and services, providing them with opportunities to differentiate themselves in the market,” said Vishal Dhupar, Managing Director, India & SAARC Region, Symantec Corporation. “We look forward to strengthening collaborations with our partners this year to best serve our mutual customers."
The Symantec Partner Program will continue with the existing partner levels, which include Registered, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Within the enhanced program, specialisations will become essential to attaining partner levels, and revenue requirements will be removed. |
