Techcom Penetrates in to Andhra Pradesh with its mobile phones

 Techcom has announced the entry of its mobile phones segment into Andhra Pradesh. With this launch, Techcom introduces their latest offering for the Indian handset market, the T35 & T65, which come with a bouquet of pre-loaded multimedia features, catering to the user on the move. The launch of the phones mark yet another business landmark for the growing company, as it brings forth a world-class range of hand held products within the reach of consumers.

Speaking at the event, Ajay Kedia, Director – Techcom, said, “After receiving a fantastic response in Karnataka, we are looking to open up newer fronts in the markets of southern India. We see Andhra Pradesh as a market with immense potential and the move will help us in consolidating our presence in this part of the county. With deeper penetration of mobile telephony into semi-urban and rural areas, the market is slated to grow further.”

Techcom plans to invest over Rs. 100 crore in major brand building exercise in the next 3 years. Keeping in mind the prospects of the market in Andhra Pradesh, the company has allocated about Rs. 10 crore (10% of the budget) for the state.  

In India, Techcom already enjoys a high brand recall when it comes to IT peripherals and electronic consumer goods. Techcom is present in over 30 countries worldwide, broadly Nepal, Algeria, UAE, Lebanon, Kenya, Nigeria, Middle-East, Uzbekistan and others. Techcom is also planning to expand its IT and Electronics product portfolio to suit the requirements in all markets with an aim to even expands on rural reach. Being on way ahead for expansion, Techcom has planned to deepen reach in the Eastern states across all product categories. By 2012, the company has projected turnover of Rs. 500 crore for the brand.
