WatchGuard Continues To Grow

Privately-held WatchGuard Technologies, a global leader of business security solutions, today announced that it broke all Q3 corporate billings records.  In particular, the company experienced 15.6 percent year over year (YoY) Q3 billings growth, and expects that Q4 will be another record quarter due to increased global demand for its award-winning, unified threat management (UTM) security appliances.

Record-breaking WatchGuard Revenue Growth Seen in All Regions

For Q3 2011, WatchGuard broke all historic third quarter revenue records due to numerous countries around the world achieving significant, top-line billings growth. Growth for WatchGuard security solutions was broad-based across all regions due to increased business demand.  In particular, EMEA (Europe/Middle East/Africa) was very strong, with a regional YoY growth of over 30 percent.  The following territories achieved notable Q3 YoY growth:

·         Central Europe – 44 percent

·         Southern Europe – 35 percent

·         UK – 26 percent

·         Australia/New Zealand – 23 percent

·         India – 22 percent

 

WatchGuard attributes growth to insatiable demand for its latest security service – Application Control.  With WatchGuard Application Control, businesses now gain in-depth, granular control over Web 2.0 applications, such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and hundreds more.  Not only does WatchGuard Application Control protect against the next generation of threats that leverage these popular applications, now businesses can rein in how individual employees use such applications, directly from the corporate firewall.
