IBM has announced that WinHire Technologies, provider of a video-based social networking solution for virtual recruitment, has selected the IBM SmartCloud Enterprise solution to roll out their next generation business model leveraging social media. Making a choice over Amazon, Win Hire preferred the IBM solution as it allowed them to access a secure enterprise class shared private cloud computing infrastructure to drive higher efficiency, manage costs and increase speed-to-market. 

WinHire aims to be the market leader by leveraging technology to improve the recruitment process as well as minimize recruiting risks and reduce costs. Through the innovative use of social media, WinHire will provide a platform for virtual interaction between job-seekers and recruiters. 

The IBM SmartCloud Enterprise provides rapid access to multi-tenant shared cloud computing infrastructure that can be scaled to the needs of an enterprise and is priced on actual usage. It also offers a ready to use software catalogue with various licensing options. 

WinHire wanted to build and implement a shared collaborative hiring capability which would be able to address the challenges like identity fraud in the recruitment process and also replace the early stage of faceless communication with interactive video interview capability. Capital expenditure on computing infrastructure was not an option for WinHire, however IBM’s offering not only helped the organization avoid the upfront capital expense of procuring traditional computing infrastructure but also allowed them to build a scalable environment to keep pace with the dynamic business growth.
