Xerox India appoints new executive director

Xerox India has appointed Balaji Rajagopalan as executive director of technology, channels and international distributor operations, replacing Vipin Tuteja who is quitting the company. Rajagopalan’s appointment comes at a time when Xerox is looking to further strengthen its market position with a stronger product and services portfolio, the company said. “Balaji’s first-hand customer service experience along with his wide knowledge of the market, Xerox offerings and the channel ecosystem gives him a deep understanding of the business,” Rajat Jain, managing director of Xerox India, said in a statement. Rajagopalan, who began his career as a technical support engineer, has worked in various roles with Xerox for over 30 years, and was responsible for setting up the company’s national service network. He also played a key role in launching the first laser printer and fax machine in India, and in setting up the service organisation for high-end printers in the country, according to Xerox. “We have a very strong portfolio of products, a very talented team, an excellent network of partners and an iconic brand. I look forward to working with our partners and customers to deliver more value to them and grow Xerox business in India,” Rajagopalan was quoted as having said in the statement.
