Xerox has unveiled Color 1000 digital production press, at a three-day event in Mumbai. The machine unveiled worldwide at IPEX 2010 in May at Birmingham.

Through live demonstration of the new Color 1000 press, the event created awareness about the benefits of digital printing and educated partners on this product and its applications.

Xerox showcased a range of ‘On Demand Printing’ and various other applications on this equipment which has been mastered for fine-tuned image quality. It demonstrated how digital printers can increase business productivity and explore new revenue opportunities in the graphic arts segment especially in the photo album market.

Speaking at the launch event in Mumbai, Vipin Tuteja, Executive Director, Marketing and International Business, Xerox India said: "This next generation product is well positioned between our hugely successful DocuColor 8002 and iGen4 digital color press. To further expand our customers’ digital printing capabilities, Xerox has added an optional clear toner station that brings prints to life. This equipment offers versatility, scalability and performance that is perfect for production environments. With flexible workflow, feeding and finishing, the Xerox Color 1000 press will help our customers as their business volumes grows”.
