ZyXEL Comes out with additional IPv6 Compliant Networking Solutions

ZyXEL Communications has announced the availability of a few more IPv6 compliant networking products, as extensions to expand ZyXEL’s IPv6 product portfolio, which began in 2004. These several new VDSL2 offerings revalidate ZyXEL’s pioneering position as the leading proponent of the growing predominance of IPv6 deployment.

Being one of the world’s leading Internet solution providers, ZyXEL received its first IPv6 Ready Logo Certification in 2004. Additional VDSL2 Integrated Access Devices (IADs) and CPE products received the “Phase II IPv6 Ready” Golden Logo in 2010. Today, ZyXEL is perfectly positioned to provide IPv6 products and solutions to service providers worldwide.

This newly developed ZyXEL End-to-End IPv6 Compliant Bonding Solution includes VDSL2 DSLAM with two models (VES1724 and VES-1608FE-57), a line-card (VLC1424G-56) for extendibility and pair-bonded VDSL gateways (P-873HNUP) featuring dual-functions with a Gigabit Ethernet WAN interface for FTTH applications and 802.11n Wi-Fi connection for up to 300Mbps.

With the arrival of IPv6 and its impact upon triple play services such as high-speed Internet access, voice and audio streaming, HDTV/Internet TV and interactive gaming, VDSL2 represents an ideal xDSL broadband networking technology that overcomes last-mile bottlenecks. Internet packages including higher bandwidth and advanced services will benefit Service Providers and carriers with more ARPU (Average Revenue Per User) to help sustain business continuity and to develop more growth. Bandwidth optimization and value-added features are significant considerations for infrastructure investment, particularly for DSL operators, who are facing aggressive competition from cable operators and fiber operators.
