eScan activation now available over the Web

eScan one of the leading Information Security solutions, has announced the launch of website based activation of eScan. With the option of activating eScan Offline through phone, fax or email, now, eScan channel partners and customers can also activate eScan quickly through the website. At present, Web-based activation of eScan is available only for the Home user editions (eScan Antivirus and eScan Internet Security Suite 1-User / 3-users licenses).

Website based activation will provide an easy alternative to both eScan end consumers and eScan Partners to quickly activate their copy of eScan. Now eScan partners do not have to physically visit the customer’s place to activate eScan. eScan Partners can get the machine code of the customer’s machine and activate it online for them. The steps on how to get the machine code is available here. This will help eScan channel partners worldwide to provide faster activation support to customers who have poor internet connectivity. The customer will also get an email with the Activation code, his eScan License key and the License period for his future reference and use.

The "eScan Activation" link is available in the dropdown menu of both "Customer Resource" & "Partners" sections on the eScan website (www.escanav.com).

Anil Gupta, Head of National Sales, eScan said, "Though we were offering offline mode of activation to our customers and partners, they had to fax/email our support team to get the activation code. So to make the eScan activation simpler with a self servicing model, we introduced this feature on our website. The customers or our channel partners now can now directly logon to our website escanav.com and get the activation code themselves. This is available for activation of both New eScan Licenses and eScan Renewal Licenses."
